New Revenue Commissioner appointed

Niall Cody has been appointed to succeed recently retired Michael O'Grady as Revenue Commissioner.
Cody has been an assistant secretary in Revenue since 2007 with responsibility for the indirect taxes division, the Dublin region and, most recently, planning division.
The position has an annual salary of €180,000 and the appointment is for seven years, which may be renewed for a further term.
