NIB picks ISPCC as charity partner for the year

06.02.2012

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) has been selected by National Irish Bank as its charity partner for 2012.

Each year, charities are invited to apply to become National Irish Bank’s charity partner and to receive the proceeds of staff fundraising activity during that year.  The charity is selected by a staff vote.

This year, the bank will help ISPCC to raise awareness of the work it carries out on behalf of children in Ireland each day.  The bank’s staff will also work closely with the charity on a nationwide basis, giving their time to help with fundraising and other activities.

“It’s clear that the ISPCC vision, to see an Ireland where all children are heard and valued, is one which really resonates with staff,” said Caroline Douglas, senior communications manager, National Irish Bank.  “We will offer any support we can throughout 2012 to help make this vision a reality.”

“We are very thankful for the support of National Irish Bank and are looking forward to working closely with them this year,” said  Lloyd Byrne, spokesperson and director of fundraising with the ISPCC. “With just 10pc of our funding coming from Government, we rely on the help of companies, as well as individual and community support to achieve our vision.  Partnering with National Irish Bank this year will provide welcome support for the year ahead.”
